Leave them wanting more

Posted by Aaron Walker on Mar 8, 2019 10:00:00 AM

"You always want to leave your audience wanting more." What does this mean? We got to be careful even in our conversations when we are getting to know people even better. You want to leave them wanting a little more. You do not want them leaving and saying "I am glad that is over!". There are also cases that when we are in the phase of knowing someone better, we talk a little too much about our self. It would be best to turn the conversation around. Always point it back to the person you are with. In doing so, we are leaving a sweet taste in their mouth, like they can't wait to get back to that conversation.

Are you playing not to lose?

Posted by Aaron Walker on Mar 4, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Avoid living your personal life like playing not to lose and not to win. I'd like to encourage you to do that. Do not be afraid and tackling things that come in our way. We need to be going forward. Guys, we cannot live so conservative, run the clock out, be complacent (like what's being done by a winning team in ball games when the game is about to end) and not living to win, we are living to protect and to not lose. You will avoid boredom by "playing to win". You will be successful by "playing to win". Life is an adventure. Go forward. Press on!

Is your lack of discipline worth the loss?

Posted by Aaron Walker on Mar 2, 2019 10:00:00 AM

What is it in your life that you need more discipline? When are you going to move, step to the plate and do the things that you are planning to do? We cannot keep on talking the same thing w/o implementing! It is useless with no implementation. We got to have a level of discipline in our lives in order for us to reach the success that we want. It will be hard! Temptation will be there for us to be swayed to another direction or us not doing the outlined plan. Stay in the course. Be the marathon runner not the sprinter. Man up! Get that disciple and stay with it! I promise you, the gain is worth it if you will stick with it in a long term.

How five minutes a day could change your success.

Posted by Aaron Walker on Feb 28, 2019 10:00:00 PM

What can we do repetitively for 5 minutes that could change our life if we do it each and every day? I understand we are all busy, there's a lot in our plate but we have to organize our day. We have to build systems. We have to build processes that can help us accomplish things, things that matter.

If you want to read a book that could possibly change your life in a good way, get the book titled "The Talent Code: Greatness Isn't Born. It's Grown. Here's How. by Coyle, Daniel". I do not get a quarter in endorsing this book, but man, it is that good! It is absolutely outstanding! This could be in the top 10 or maybe top 20 that I have read in probably the past 5 years.

If It Truly Is Important You Will Find A Way

Posted by Aaron Walker on Jan 29, 2019 10:00:00 AM

I want to tell you something. I hear guys every single day because I coach, talk about the things that they do for six weeks or 90 days and it's not working and they abandoned. I met an an old lady the other day in the YMCA. As I observe her, she kept going back and forth. I don't know how old she was and I waited until she got finished and then I went up to her and I said, "Man! You are so inspirational to me and I want to talk to you for a minute?" She said, "I can't hear you that well speak up." So started speaking up to her and she was just a sweetest old lady I've ever seen in my life and I said, "How long have you been exercising?" She said, "I exercise six days a week." I said, "Man, that is amazing you've been doing that very long as she says every day for 17 years. It was so inspirational to me since she said that and I said, Man, I hope when I'm your age I'm able to do the same thing!" She said, "You don't want to know how old I am." I said, "Would you tell me", and she said, "I'm 87". This lady does her exercise every single day except Sunday. I thought, that's discipline! Where are we missing it in regards to our business career not implementing some strategies like the senior adult lady does at 87 years old. Six days a week she goes to the YMCA and works out! I'll tell you looking at her I think she's a better shape than I am and the reason is because she's disciplined! We can't let things get in the way. We can't let obstacles get in the way. I want to encourage you guys to be disciplined. If it's important, you'll do it!
