Today Is That Day That Yesterday You Were Planning For

Posted by Aaron Walker on Jun 26, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Let tell you what I mean on this videos title. I am not going to teach you any tricks, tips, hacks or anything today. I just like you to enjoy today. I have read a book some years ago and I did not agree with everything that book said but it's titled "Enjoy The Now". And I think often times we tend to do just that. I know, often times I've been guilty of planning for the future. I am only thinking about retirement. If things get better, I am going to do this and that. But you know, if I think back, ten or fifteen years ago, today is that day that I was planning for! You know, we were not promised tomorrow. Right, we were not promised for anything but today. Simply take a moment today and think, "Am I investing on the right things? Am I spending time with my family, significant other? Am I really enjoying my time with my peers? This is the day! If you choose to, we can enjoy today!

You Don’t Need All The Answers To Get Started

Posted by Aaron Walker on Jun 24, 2019 9:00:00 AM

You don't have to know every single answer to get started. A Lot of you guys ask me all the time, “Big A! Tell me about your master play and tell me about all the things that you're accomplishing and how its laid out for you and how you had it playing?” And I'm like slow down a minute, man. Take a breath. I didn't have any of this stuff playing five years ago! When I started View From The Top. Many of you say, “Hey, I don't have the big picture. I can't see it and so therefore I'm not going to get started.” Listen, you're not going to know what it's gonna look like in its entirety. You just need to start. You need to get out of the gate! You need to launch! You need to go for it and then pivot and turn and you will figure it out as you go. Now, don't be reckless. Don’t get out there and do something crazy. Don’t do something with no plan whatsoever. In whatever it is that you're trying I just want to give you the courage today to launch! Just to get out there and then pivot and turn make the the adjustments that you need to in order to be successful. The scary part though is getting out of the gate. You’re like, “Oh man, I can't do this unless I have every “T" crossed and every I dotted.” I just want to tell you that's not true. You can figure this out as you go. Get trusted advisors around you. Get people that are smarter than you are. When you have the Council of the wisdom of the multitudes the people around you that meet with you on a regular basis that can guide you direct you, you too can launch.

Do Something That Matters For Those Who Care

Do something that matter for people who care - Seth Godin.

What Seth had said resonated with me over the past 40 years. With the businesses that I have had, we did things that matter for those who care. Differentiate your business. I'd like to encourage you today to do things that matter for the people that are carrying you in your industry. Do not waiver, stand on your core values! Stand on your principles and provide a great service. Decide on that you are and stick with that thing!

If It Truly Is Important You Will Find Away

Posted by Aaron Walker on May 31, 2019 10:00:00 AM

I want to tell you something. I hear guys every single day because I coach, talk about the things that they do for six weeks or 90 days and it's not working and they abandoned. I met an an old lady the other day in the YMCA. As I observe her, she kept going back and forth. I don't know how old she was and I waited until she got finished and then I went up to her and I said, "Man! You are so inspirational to me and I want to talk to you for a minute?" She said, "I can't hear you that well, speak up." So started speaking up to her and she was just a sweetest old lady I've ever seen in my life and I said, "How long have you been exercising?" She said, "I exercise six days a week." I said, "Man, that is amazing you've been doing that very long as she says every day for 17 years. It was so inspirational to me since she said that and I said, Man, I hope when I'm your age I'm able to do the same thing!" She said, "You don't want to know how old I am." I said, "Would you tell me", and she said, "I'm 87". This lady does her exercise every single day except Sunday. I thought, that's discipline! Where are we missing it in regards to our business career not implementing some strategies like the senior adult lady does at 87 years old. Six days a week she goes to the YMCA and works out! I'll tell you looking at her I think she's a better shape than I am and the reason is because she's disciplined! We can't let things get in the way. We can't let obstacles get in the way. I want to encourage you guys to be disciplined. If it's important, you'll do it!
