Do Something That Matters For Those Who Care

Posted by Aaron Walker on Jun 17, 2019 10:16:21 AM

Do something that matter for people who care - Seth Godin.

What Seth had said resonated with me over the past 40 years. With the businesses that I have had, we did things that matter for those who care. Differentiate your business. I'd like to encourage you today to do things that matter for the people that are carrying you in your industry. Do not waiver, stand on your core values! Stand on your principles and provide a great service. Decide on that you are and stick with that thing!

You May Regret Not Knowing!

We need to stop playing it safe. Remove those golden handcuffs! Pursue your dreams or ideas. They will not come into fruition if you don't at least try. Pull the trigger now. Take the plunge. Go for it! Quit being on the fence.

Something in you is greater than your obstacle, Erik Weihenmayer

Posted by Aaron Walker on Apr 29, 2019 10:00:00 AM

I get the privilege along with many of our mastermind group members to interview Erik Weihenmayer. Eric is the guy I told you about a month ago that i'm getting the privilege to interview that summitted seven of the highest peaks on earth. Here's the kicker, he's blind! I watched him interviewed this morning on Oprah that Eric did years ago. Eric has been hosted by the White House. He's been featured on the cover of Time magazine, Sports Illustrated. The list of accolades goes on for decades with this guy.

But what I want to talk to you about today is you. What are some of the things that you've accomplished? What are some of the things that you've done in your life that you feel a sense of pride? You've inspired others? Have you taken the risk? Are you taking the chance? What is it that you've done well?

Eric has absolutely accomplished some amazing things quitting letting others expectations dictate what he did. I went back and thought about that. And I thought, my goodness! How many of us today are allowing others expectations dictate what we do in our careers and personally? It's a little bit alarming to me when I thought about that. So many of you out there today are wanting to do new business ventures. There's new personal things that you're wanting to accomplish and you're allowing others expectations to dictate what you do! Failure is in not trying, not in not succeeding! What is it today that you're afraid of? Is it your neighbor? Is it your colleagues or peers? Hey, one thing for sure! It's not going to work if you don't give it a try!

How to pay your obligations when it seems difficult

Posted by Aaron Walker on Mar 30, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Listen, do you know how tough it is to come up with the money for your taxes and those huge expenses in your company?

For years I've even maybe decades I didn't have a good system for that. Well about a year and a half ago I was introduced to Profit First, Mike Michalowicz and I want to tell you just to be totally honest, don't tell Mike I said this, but I thought it was some kind of hoax or scam or something you know. I've like I'm skeptical about that kind of stuff until I start really digging in. Well we read the book in the mastermind group together, it's called Profit First and I'm going to tell you, even after reading the book I thought now I'm not sure if how much merit I'm gonna put into this thing. How much validity is really there till a lot of the guys started saying, "Now we're gonna do this." And I'll tell you, I can't even begin to tell you how many guys in the mastermind has implemented that strategy into their business.

Credit Cards Are Great Tools When Used Properly

Posted by Aaron Walker on Feb 10, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Credit card's good as long as that cash flow is good. As long as the money's coming in. There's not a problem you've got a job you making those payments. The point of the story today is, it's not a sin. It's not like terrible but it's best not to have those credit cards in your life. You'll be able to sleep better at night and I promise you, the confusion in your life when you do lose your job or you don't have the money will be minimal compared to what it is with those high balances.
