Are You Too Tight For Your Own Good?

Posted by Aaron Walker on Jul 31, 2019 12:13:47 PM

Are you too tight for your own good? Let me tell you what I mean by that man. We need to be generous people! What I’m saying is this from a percentage-wise. We all can be very generous and I want to talk about specifically people that take care of you because they deserve it first and foremost. The second reason is, it's good for you. We need to show a sense of generosity. We need to be grateful for the people that are taking care of us. I know when I travel around and speak and go to conferences, if I'm going to stay somewhere like three or four nights, the first night there after they've cleaned my room, I'll write a note and say “Thank you for doing an outstanding job! You guys killed it and I want you to know how much I appreciate it!” And I'll put five ten or fifteen or twenty dollars depending on how long I’m gonna be there for. Then, my room looks like a museum the rest of the week. They're very nice! they're hospitable to me and everything that I do throughout the week any requests they honor it and they feel it. Listen a few dollars goes a long way but just to say thank you to people that take care of you is a big thing! Guys we've got to have a switch our mindset it can’t be "how little can I give”, "It is their responsibility”, 'they're getting paid”…...we can't do that and expect to have great service. So I want to encourage you today to change your mindset just a little bit show your gratefulness be a little bit generous with those people that are serving you and take care of you and you watch how things change for you long term.

Expect Nothing From Anyone And You Will Never Be Disappointed.

Posted by Aaron Walker on May 29, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Is it even possible to expect nothing from others just to get not disappointed? But I do want to tell you this. It has played out well in life over the years. We really have unmet expectations that causes huge disappointments in our lives. "Expect nothing from anyone and you will never be disappointed" is thru. You know why? We do not know people's situation. Even family members. We really do not know the road that they are going thru. We do not know the whole story. We do not know their history. We do not know the whole perspective.

What we should do is be focusing on what we are responsible of doing - the things that we should be doing.

Step By Step

Posted by Aaron Walker on May 24, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Let's think strategically how we can go about living a better life. I’m not a big health guy you know, what I’m saying, I mean, don't take that wrong, I want to be in good health but what I mean is I'm not your seven-day-a-week workout guy, who watches every single bite I put in my mouth.  I’m not that kind of guy but I do want to be in great shape. I do want to take care of myself and praise God I'm healthy!  I want to encourage you not to be that guy that just goes nutso and gets rid of everything in exercises seven days a week and you'll burn out.  You all hold that pace. You just won't do it but getting an accountability partner - - - somebody that will help you and train you and teach you to live a balanced life.  A life that is pleasing to you and to your family. God gave you one body.  When it's gone it's gone and we need to take care of it.
